Vernie Schorr

Vernie Schorr is involved in many different ministry projects in behalf of children. She oversees "Children of the World", a ministry aimed at bringing Christ to children all over the world. The "International School Project" involves teaching teachers and training them in the use of the new character education curriculum. The Mission ministry funds this project.

Vietnamese Bible, Inc.

Vietnamese Bible, Inc. a Midland-based group which was formed for the purpose of translating a Committee Bible from the Greek and Hebrew texts that will be easy to read and understand by Vietnamese. It will be used principally by Protestant denominations to get the gospel to many of the 77 million people in Vietnam and the 7 million Vietnamese around the world.

Hogar Infantil

Hogar Infantil, a "Children's Home" in the State of Chiapas, Mexico for orphaned and destitute children founded in 1963 by Nich Anderson, a U. S. Citizen. It is under the direction of an all-volunteer board with headquarters in Mineral Wells, Texas.

Presbyterian Border Ministry

Presbyterian Border Ministry, Inc., a nonprofit corporation formed for the exclusive purpose of supporting the Presbyterian mission along the 2,000 mile border of the United States and Mexico. The mission is to share the Gospel with those who live along the border, serving the needs of the spirit, body and mind.

Presbyterian Outreach Foundation

Presbyterian Outreach Foundation is an independent support group that helps various missionaries and missions of the Presbyterian Church USA for the proclamation of Jesus Christ by word and deed throughout the world. It works in close cooperation with the governing bodies of PCUSA, particularly the Global Mission Ministry Unit and the Evangelism and Church Development Ministry Unit. Of mission funds donated to the foundation, 100% goes directly to the missionary and/or mission with no deduction for overhead or other expenses. Our church in particular supports the Zimbabwe Street Children Project and the Mozambique Church Construction. Our missionaries are Robert and Bobbi Snyder and Charles and Diane Wonnenberg.

Presbyterian Medical & Benevolence Foundation

Presbyterian Medical and Benevolence Foundation, a Presbyterian lay organization, works to change the dire medical situation in many of the world's poor countries. It seeks out usable excess medical equipment form US hospitals, financial support from private and government sources, and personnel (medical and nonmedical) to respond to Christ's call to heal the sick.

Volunteers International

Volunteers International (Vietnam Hospice Ministry), a nonprofit organization began by Elaine Magruder of Midland, is committed to promoting the development of hospice programs in various settings in Vietnam through education, attachments to other countries for hands-on training, scholarships to conferences, the provision of resource materials and providing assistance to start-up programs.

OC International

OC International - Karl & Jenny Teichert, South Africa. Karl & Jenny Teichert will be assisting South African church leaders in achieving greater church-planting effectiveness throughout their countries and around the world.

Treasure Commission, Inc.

Franklin & Katie Bess Williamson work out of New Delhi, India where they work with Asian Outreach. Their vision is to take Bible teaching and church leadership to the grass-root pastors, evangelists and church planters who do not have the opportunity of attending a Bible school or a good teaching school. Trainings have been held in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Mongolia, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Presbyterians for Renewal

Presbyterians for Renewal is a validated faith renewal ministry of the PCUSA. It offers various opportunities to grow deeper in faith and service to Jesus Christ. One of the programs offered is Wee Kirk (conferences for pastors, spouses and lay leaders of small churches) which FPC supports. Other programs include evangelism, lay renewal conferences and several programs and mission opportunities for Junior High through College age youth. One of the adult lay renewal conferences is held annually during the summer at Mo-Ranch located near Hunt, Texas.
