Located just west of the main reception desk (Texas Street entrance), the Prayer Closet is for anyone who wishes a quiet place to pray. The contemplative space includes a prayer kneeler, a desk, and comfortable seating for individuals or small groups. The Prayer Closet is staffed Monday – Friday from Noon to 2:00p.m., with an individual committed to pray for the people listed on the FPC Prayer List, the staff, and for any other concerns specifically directed to the Prayer Closet. The Prayer Closet may also be reserved as a place to meet for small groups or prayer partners. PRAYER SHAWLS: Prayer Shawls knitted by the Prayer Shawl Ministry, are located in a basket in the Prayer Closet. The shawls are hand-crafted and prayed over by members of the Prayer Shawl ministry. They are available to be handed out to those who are sick or hurting.
THE HEALING: The Healing is a reflective CD of music and Holy Scripture available for those in need of prayerful encouragement during times of illness, loss, or pain. The CDs are located in a box in the Prayer Closet free of charge.
STEPHEN MINISTRY: After each worship service on Sunday morning, a Stephen Minister is in the Prayer Closet to pray with anyone who has need of it.
