Living With God On Mission
As we seek to dive deeper into Living With God on Mission this fall, we wanted to share these opportunities for local service. We’ll update this list frequently, so check back often.
Upward
We run two basketball seasons and two volleyball seasons each year. This is a great opportunity to connect with children and youth as a volunteer coach/assistant coach. Contact Upward Director, William Payne (wpayne@fpcmid.org) for more details.
MHS Lunch Bunch
THURSDAYS, 12:45-2:30ISH
Join us as we serve pizza to MHS students. If you’d like to be a part of this ministry, please reach out to Jennifer Ramos (jramos@fpcmid.org) for instructions on how to complete our background check and child safety training, which is required for this outreach ministry.
MHS TEACHER PRAYER LUNCH
There are opportunities to set up and serve lunch to MHS teachers and staff and pray for prayer requests they share with us. Contact Carole Strange (cjsteach15@gmail.com) for details.
MAP SMALL GROUPS
TUESDAYS, 2-3 PM
A pair of volunteers lead a small group of middle school students at Midland's Alternative Campus through a simple, predetermined curriculum. Training and support provided. Needing up to seven men and six women. Commitment is through the fall semester. For details, contact Pastor Walter (wthompson@fpcmid.org).
Midland College
We're hosting a biweekly table setup on campus to connect with students. Sign up/details coming soon, but will be 9:00-10:00am on a M, W, or Th every two weeks. More Info: Pastor Walter (wthompson@fpcmid.org).
De Zavala Teacher Appreciation
Each month we try to do something special for teachers, including Pies and Prayers in November, Adopt a Teacher around Christmas time, a Spring flower bar, meals, and Valentine Treat bags.
